She is a professor of sociology at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champagne and the co-author of Unassailable Ideas: How Unwritten Rules and Social Media Shape Discourse in American Higher Education. She also serves as a faculty fellow at Heterodox Academy, a non-profit advocacy group working to counteract a lack of viewpoint diversity on college campuses.
In our conversation, we talk about whether there is a free speech problem on college campuses, how to address a lack of political diversity, and Redstone's thoughts on the Critical Race Theory debate.
